The REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) is conducted by the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) for recruiting teachers in government schools. The exam is held in two levels: Level 1 (for Classes 1-5 teachers) and Level 2 (for Classes 6-8 teachers). Both papers have 150 questions worth 300 marks (2 marks per question) with a duration of 2.5 hours. There is no negative marking.
LEVEL 2 PAPER STRUCTURE: The paper is divided into 4 sections. Section 1: Child Development & Pedagogy (30 questions, 60 marks) covering theories of child development (Piaget, Vygotsky, Kohlberg, Erikson), learning theories (Pavlov, Skinner, Bandura, Thorndike), intelligence theories, teaching methods, inclusive education, RTE Act 2009, NEP 2020, and assessment. Section 2: Language I — Hindi/English/Sanskrit/Urdu (30 questions, 60 marks). Section 3: Language II — Hindi/English/Sanskrit/Urdu (30 questions, 60 marks). Section 4: Social Studies OR Science & Mathematics (60 questions, 120 marks).
SOCIAL STUDIES SYLLABUS — RAJASTHAN SPECIFIC: This is the highest-weightage section.
